Day 13: resting activities

Good day good people πŸ™‚

As I reach the end of week two, I remind myself that if I am going to keep this up I really must remember to get enough sleep.
I awoke today sleepy but thankfully not as achy as I expected and with only tightness in my hip flexor not pain πŸ™‚ I consider this a positive start to the day πŸ™‚ I am looking forward to the time in this process when I start to feel even fitter and stronger…

I did however, as the day went on realise that a day of lighter exercise would not go amiss. So, today after work I made my way home and decided that the most likely way to get any sort of exercise done was to do it straight away. I also decided that I could combine this activity / exercise thingy with some jobs that needed doing πŸ™‚

I started with a warm up consisting of 20 mins of filing up the bird feeders in the garden, for those of you who have never seen my garden this is a bigger task than it sounds, I have 17 bird feeders and 1/3 of an acre of garden so, it definitely counted as enough exercise to be a warm up. Once this was completed, I came inside and completed a series of body weight exercises, consisting of squats, side kicks, press ups, crunches, leg raises, bridge and kettlebell chest presses (I couldn’t resist the kettlebels completely!) I then did my stretching routine.

Although not as hardcore as circuits, every little helps, as they say, and I can only hope they are right!
Day 13 complete, on to day 14 and the fitness test number 2 πŸ™‚
