Yes, I am writing about yesterdays work outs today…our internet (or possibly connection to the internet if you want to be strictly accurate) is playing up so it is tricky to do at home.
Anyway, the first half of Tuesdays exercise was week 3 day 3 of the c25k during which I foiled an attempt at treachery by possibly killer squirrels… just as I was finishing my warm up walk and heading onto the path by the river, I encountered this chap…
innocuous looking he may be but he was crashing about in the trees in a manner quite unlike normal graceful squirrel behaviour. I can only assume that he was providing a diversion to allow is co-conspirator to go about his nefarious business… I think the act of taking this photo discouraged them, they knew i would have evidence…
Squirrel plots foiled, I continued with my run. I started out tireder after the previous day’s hard circuits so I was expecting this run to feel harder, I had some calf tightness that caused me to stop and stretch but all in all it was not too bad. Strangely enough I found the run intervals got easier to complete as the run went on, the first 3 min one was hard work and I did have to stop and walk a few steps twice during it, but not as much as the last time. By the second 3 min interval I only had to walk for a few paces once and not very many paces really so I was quite pleased with this 🙂
Still It felt harder than the previous day due to heavy legs so I was pleasantly surprised to discover that I have improved, only a tiny bit but still improvement is improvement 🙂
my over all distance was better, my run distance vs walk distance has slightly more run and less walk and my pace in both has improved. I cant tell you how much of a shock that was 😀
