Good afternoon ๐
It was only a matter of time until I used that Kate Bush song reference now wasn’t it! Well…in all honesty it wasn’t a very big hill, but it was double the elevation I have run before and I had to do it twice…and I am not very good at hills…even tiny slopes put me off!

I ran the same interval pattern as Wednesday, I did also have to take a few extra walks during the longer run intervals but still not that many…
This run was slower, I knew it would be while I was going as my calves hurt quite a bit during the second half of the run. I am still happy with my distance and time…I still went over 4k, 350 metres less is not so bad and considering how bad my legs felt yesterday, I am really really pleased to have gone running at all!! The second half of this run was slower than the first, I seemed to need more breaks in the second bit.
I think I might actually be improving it felt harder but I still managed a distance that I didn’t expect! It still feels right to be doing intervals rather than attempting long runs at the moment so I am going to continue for the time being.
I am not sure what made me turn right out of work rather than left, it is not as nice a route to run, there are more people and roads and less trees and squirrels (hmmm maybe also less chance of getting ambushed… see here). It made a change mind you ๐ but I think I will go back to the other one next week. I may do some running on the downs link over the weekend…we shall have to see ๐

in other news…I don’t think my runnign shoes are going to be the same again after saturday’s colour run!!

Hills suck so bad! Good on you for pushing through (and up) and still finishing with a great distance and pace.

I love the 30day challenge thing too, I was thinking of adding some 30 day challenges in to my overall challenge, to keep things interesting ๐

I’m going to try a physical challenge for the next month. I’ll be trying to get visible abs in 30 days…from a round tummy ๐
I’m not sure if it is even possible. Anyway I’m jost going to try for the sake of consistency and discipline.
