Good afternoon people 🙂
yep…there is a challenge 4…it is another running one and it is in less than 1.5 weeks! I only signed up for it a week or so ago and I just remembered that I hadn’t written about it yet. So here it is 🙂

on Saturday 26th October I will be running the great south 5k. This one is all about the running, no one will throw coloured powder at me it is purely an exercise in how

quickly or more accurately whether I can yet run 5k. It should be fun, I am looking forward to it. There is a tiny part of me that can’t believe I am saying that…that part of me is getting drowned out by the newly born running enthusiast mind you 🙂
I am running with my friend Lisa who also ran the colour run with me, we is tall and slim and energetic and entirely powered by chocolate so I will have a job keeping up but who knows.
My goal for this race, is to be quicker than the last one…it is a fairly simple goal but it is all I want out of it.
Here is the route, it is in Portsmouth if anyone local wants to come and watch 🙂
Good luck! You will do great!
I’m trying to get signed up for a Colour Run here in Vegas on Saturday. Hopefully registration isn’t closed. If I do, you’ll be sure to hear all about it. 😉

I’m sure you’ll have a great time. I did the Great Yorkshire Run a few weeks ago and it was brilliant. If I still lived down south I’d probably have signed up for the Great South Run.
Just a bit of advice, if you think you may need to walk at any point it may be better to go in planning to run for 2 or 3 minutes and then walk for a minute – last year for a 10k run I ran the first 6k and had to walk for a bit, I found it so hard to get running again. This year I went in with the plan of running 5 minutes and walking 1 minute and came away with a huge PB. Also, my son is still building up his running and currently runs the parkrun with a 2:1 run:walk split and finished the last one in under 35 minutes!
Good luck and have fun!

Thanks for the advice 🙂 I will work out a plan before I go, I had one for the colour run but it didn’t work because people kept throwing coloured powder at me 🙂
