Well this was especially true this Thursday!
Possibly because it felt like a Tuesday, and possibly because I had been working in a different location and hadn’t had much sleep, but I can’t complain it was a day away from the office and it made a nice change. There was also an “introduction to new food” evening by our local Tescos..it was an unusual evening, but there was free chorizo 🙂
Anyway… All of this meant I was unable/unwilling (take your pick) to go to the gym…
Of course that doesn’t mean I did nothing… Honestly…what do you take me for :-p
I did my new favourite home bodyweight / kettlebell super sets 😀
So this is what I did (after a warm up of course)
Press ups using the press up trainer: sets of 12, 8, 8, 10, 8
With kettlebell squat presses in the breaks: 4x sets of 10
Squats using the squat trainer app: sets of 17, 10, 8, 6
With lunges in the breaks
2x sets of 5 pike press ups with hands on kettlebells
2x plank holds with hands on kettlebells
Then I got incredibly enthusiastic and attempted a handstand 🙂 attempted and (sort of) managed too! I didn’t kick up, I walked my legs up the wall…which meant I couldn’t get entirely vertical but it was close, I only held it for about 10 seconds, but it is a start! 😀
Sit ups using the trainer app: sets of 12, 10, 6, 6, 4, 4
With sets of 8 bridges in the breaks 🙂
Looking back at it, it looks like a pretty good work out…
So day 139 complete 😀

Hey I love the idea of using the wall to walk up to a handstand position. Brilliant! I may have to try that!
it is so much less daunting than trying to kick up…
It makes me wonder just how strong I was as a child / teenager when I used to do lots of gymnastics.,.and I didn’t even realise it! I could do handstands for ages and pull ups and everything!
