Hello again ๐
Now for the weekend…and it was a very good weekend too ๐
Firstly Saturday (day 148) (how traditional…I know!)
On Saturday I discovered two things…1) Broadbridge Heath Leisure Centre has much friendlier people than Pavilions (on of the other ones I go to)…I sort of knew this already but it was reinforced today. b) Broadbridge heath free weights room is not really as scary as I previously thought.

You might have gathered from that, that I went to the gym on Saturday and used the Free weights room. I downloaded the Stronglifts app as I have heard good things about the program and am starting to follow it, however, I discovered that the app does notย work on iOS 7 which is mildly annoying…however I have a pen and paper so it is not the end of the world ๐
so here is what I did while I was there…
first in the main part of the gym, 3 mins AMT warm up, 4 min (20s fast 20s normal) bike sprints.
Then into the free weights room for:ย 5 x 5 Squats (30kg), 5 x 5 (each arm) 1 armed row ( 14kg), 1 x 5 bench press (35kg), 3 x 5 bench press (32.5 kg) 1x 5 bench press 30 kg. 2 x 5 overhead press (20kg) I only did 2 overhead press sets because they hurt my shoulder.
Then back to the normal gym for stretching. I was very surprised that while I was using the free weights, someone actually spoke to me in a friendly manner, short conversation but still ๐
So that was a good Saturday ย workout I believe and my hamstrings and glutes still ache!
Sunday (day 149) was more sociable than normal because I managed to convince my friend Jen to come with me ๐ it was nice to have someone to go to the class with ๐
Pilates was as excellent as it normally is ๐ we used the resistance bands for one or two of the exercises and I managed to do the advanced without loosing form for about 3/4 of the class and level 2 for the rest :-D. As normal I walked out feeling much less achy than when I walked in… ๐
so after a good weekend, day 148 & 149 complete ๐
