Days 197 & 198: Running in the rain and return of the reset!

Good Morning πŸ™‚
That is a satisfyingly alliterative title, which makes me happy on a very soggy Monday morning!Β

Day 197: Saturday
Saturday was the day of running in the rain…
Ok…it wasn’t raining much, but it was still damp and cold and there was a lot of evidence lying around on the floor of the heavy rain that had been going on earlier in the day!

By evidence I mean puddles…big, soggy, come up over your shoes, make you regret having mostly mesh shoes, puddles!

Soggy Shoes
The funniest thing was, I actually managed to borrow my husband’s head torch to I could see enough to not run into hedges, so I could see the puddles coming…and the lack of a way round…

At least I was warned slightly before the icy water poured into my shoes πŸ˜€

On saying all that, it was a really good run πŸ˜€

I went faster, Β ran more and walked less than I have done in previous runs recently. It maybe an advantage being able to see where you are going a little bit!

The moves app estimation of my run walk time, is far more believable this time…I may have only walked for short times last time so they weren’t picked up by the app, but this time I am much more confident in the times. πŸ˜€

I am also much happier with my over all pace, it is returning to my pre running break pace and hopefully I will continue to improve πŸ˜€

I completed the next mission on the Zombies run app…I still chickened out of turning the zombie chases feature on…but I promise I will soon!!

So with very soggy feet, Day 197 complete πŸ˜€

Day 198: Sunday

Sorry Nancy…
Woooohooooo πŸ˜€ this Sunday saw the welcome return of Pilates πŸ™‚

It was awesome…after my return to running and my crazy trx program and all the stuff I have been doing in the past few weeks, the return of the sunday reset was absolutely what I needed πŸ˜€

It was blooming freezing, ans I wasn’t relishing the prospect of bare feet…so I did the class in my hobbit feet (sorry Nancy!) and they were excellent for the purpose πŸ˜€
We used both the squidgy ball and the resistance bands in this class, although not at the same time…that would have been tricky! and I managed to do the advanced option for all of them πŸ˜€
all in all a pretty good sunday, and to make it even better my friend Jen came with me πŸ˜€

day 198 complete (with hobbit feet) πŸ˜€

  1. Pace 8:40? That is totally awesome (yes, I’m from California, but I don’t always talk like that)!! Once again, I’m impressed. I think the last time I ever went that fast was when I was being chased in a dream.
