Day 252: Bra shaped running

By Friday I finally felt like a human person again!

I decided to celebrate this by running πŸ™‚

After work, I took myself off to the park and as I finish slightly earlier on Fridays, it was still light, at least at the beginning of the run, which made a slightly disconcerting change.

Yes I know running in the light shouldn’t worry me, but it felt wierd…I have got used to the dark! Luckily, by the end of the run it was dark, and also pouring down with rain!

yes…this is an odd definition of lucky…I may have to rethink…

Slightly bra shaped run…
Anyway…the run…

It was the fourth official training run for my 10k and week 1 day 3 of the app I am now using. The intervals were still 3 min run intervals, but the walk breaks had dropped down to 1 min instead of 2.

It felt so much better to run and be able to breathe and not cough! I ran all the runs without resorting to walking which was more challenging due to the shorter walks and the fact that there a lot of them! but it was perfectly doable! πŸ˜€ I meandered around the park in quite an odd configuration partly because it is amusing and partly because part of the main path is closed for some reason.

an unexpected upside to all the meandering was the fact that the final route looked like a bra…this amused me and made me want to see if I could make more running pictures!

Over all , the run felt much better, and I was quicker overall than, not only my last (ill) run, but the one before that too which Β  is genuine progress πŸ˜€ I also got another zombie mission under my belt, although only one because this session wasn’t long enough for two without adding another 20 mins on the end…and I was too soggy to want to do that!!

      1. We shall see. Am heading back home to Toronto this evening, one day earlier than planned, so I’ll hit the treadmill tomorrow. Way too cold to run outdoors!

      2. Luckily it is (supposed to be) getting warmer here, and we don’t get Toronto sort of cold!! I don’t have to face my treadmill fear πŸ˜›
