Day 291: Practise and Pumping

what better way to spend a monday evening than taking a good friend on a whistle stop tour of the local gym facilities?

ok…I appreciate that sentence sounds sarcastic…but it wasn’t!

I did enjoy myself ๐Ÿ˜€

we started off with a trip to Steyning (Matt’s gym) to practise for my assessment on sunday. Jen in my guinea pig volunteer the person who had kindly agreed to be “taught” a program.

She promises not to look at me in an amused way when I tell her how good the treadmill is…
I think we all know my opinions on treadmillsย (terrifying and awful) but for the purposes of this assessment, they are a “good full body cardio vascular piece of equipment…”

anyway, we made our way around the gym, steadfastly oblivious to the odd looks we got when I explained every piece of equipment ย / machine in great detail despite clearly not working there! ๐Ÿ˜€

Once we had done that we hightailed it across to Broadbridge Heath Leisure centre for my normal Body pump class…to which I dragged Jen ๐Ÿ˜€

Awesomeness!
it was the last class with the old release, then new one debuts next week ๐Ÿ˜€ I do like this release, but it is always good to have a change…and I will not be sorry to see the back of that tricep track!!

I stuck with my increased weights from last week, and the good news is, ย where I increased the weights but had to drop back half way through the track last week, this week I managed the whole track ๐Ÿ˜€ (sort of…with some struggling!)

the most amusing thing was the new boy who had come along with one of the regular girls, they were late teens early twenties, and he looked like he thought it would be easy when he got there…he was using tiny weights by the end and looked a little like he might fall over…I am not actually in favour of people hurting…but he was looking very cocky to start with ๐Ÿ™‚

I had fun, despite hating the tricep track (still) and nearly killing myself in the bicep track!

Day 291 complete ๐Ÿ˜€
