Day 347 – 349: Midweek mayhem
Ok…I thought i had better do another smooshed together post Or I will be at the end of the challenge before I get around to telling you all!
eeek…It is that close! 16 days left!! I can’t believe it!
Day 347 Tuesday:
Tuesday Started early… we reverted back to having PT on Tuesday rather than Thursday and it was the one day in the week that I actually felt awake!!
No I hate Tuesday cats this time 😀
mind you…the first thing I did was sprint intervals on the cross trainer…as a warm up! 1 min average pace, 10s sprint 10s rest, 20s sprint, 20s rest, 30s sprint, 30s rest… not the most fun warm up ever…but I guess it was my own fault for claiming to be awake!
We followed this with a round of:
8 x front squats, 8 x split jerks, 8 x Snatches
3 clean and jerk / snatch combos
all with the olympic bar.
then a core circuit consisting of 30s each of:
Plank, Leg raises, bridge, hollow body hold, cobra all with no rest in between.
then TRX 30s of each:
muscle ups with a twist to the side, jumping pistol squats, chest press into roll outs.
Then more weights again using the olympic bar:
8 x deadlift, 8 x clean and press, 8 x high pull
After this was boxing, with as is becoming customary, Matt wearing boxing gloves too rather than pads to make the whole thing more realistic. The main difference this week was that we used the big hall that is normally used for classes, which meant we had more space.
of course this meant we moved around more…just to make life even harder 😀
the evening brought day 3 of my arm challenges 🙂
Day 348 Wednesday
Wednesday was dancing day 😀
I am almost sure that after an entire year of me saying that you could probably have guessed that!
It was awesome 😀
you could probably have guessed that too…
we were practicing for the Dorking day of dance on the coming Saturday

It was good fun, but I wasn’t half tired at the end…more so than I expected! I was having a heavy legs day!
Day 349 Thursday
at the risk of repeating myself…it was Thor’s day 😀
It was the day of the Thor Workout! Click the linky for details!
It is hard…you obviously don;t get to be Thor without quite a lot of effort!!
It involved my first foray into the Turkish get up!
that is not an easy thing is it!?!?!
Bearing in mind I struggled with this with nothing in my hand, I am surprised there are not more maiming s from people trying to do this with a kettlebell!!
It does count as my first June New Thing though 🙂
I did the workout at the beginner level (3 sets) it was hard!! and I was suffering from Thursday!
I also did both of my arm and dumbbell challenges
In addition to these things, I walked every lunchtime for a minimum of 40 mins 🙂 I hit my 10000 step challenge every day 😀
