Day 355 – 356: Dancing and Drumming and Thor

Which is an awesome combination, with the exception of the Turkish get-ups which are still awful!

(sorry this is a brief one…)

but first Wednesday, Day 355

Wednesday was dancing day πŸ™‚

I went and I danced and I played my new drum..after a fashion!

me drumming
look new drum!

I am not very good at drumming, I am easily distracted and forget to hit it sometimes, which throws things off…but I am just practicing!

Also…drumming takes you away from dancing…and I like dancing!

however, in the interests of sometimes letting someone else have a go, I took my new drum along (new to me…we found it at a boot fair for Β£2)

Dancing wise, we practiced stuff for the weekend and walked some stuff through so our new dancers get a go too πŸ˜€

this is what I danced:
Our Henry
Maiden Castle
Star of the County Down
Changeling (x2)
King of the Fairies
Raggle Taggle Gypsy
Fanny Frail
Broomstick
Hunting Dance

needless to say…it was awesome πŸ˜€

Then there was Thursday…Day 356

Or should I say Thor’s Day…

I am pretty sure Thor didn't wear shades...
I am pretty sure Thor didn’t wear shades…

you know there is going to be one of these references every Thursday in June! It is just the way it is!

I did (as dictated by June Challenge rules) mt Thor Workout.

it is still hard!

one legged squats are no fun, and shoulder presses (which also seem to be pike pressups) are not fun either…

on the plus side, I am better at them now than when I first tried them months ago πŸ™‚

I didn’t manage the entire complement of Turkish getups, but they were better than last week, which is a good start!

I also completed my two arm challenges, even though it was supposed to be a rest day…

no I wasn’t doing extra…I just got the days mixed up and had the arm rest day on Wednesday…

no (h)arm done though πŸ˜€

so with that swift and smooshed catch up post…I am up to date…

and

if you can believe this…

I am only 1 week away from the end of my 365!! how is this possible!!!
