Janathon day 20 (Insanity max 30 day 9): Done

As I haven’t done this for a while, I thought I would give you some more detail on my PT session.

I decided today was a particularly good day to do this because Matt invented some particularly crazy things for me to do πŸ™‚

Starting with Kettlebells…

I love kettlebells, that much must be obvious by now! I even loved the two handed swings with the 20kg kettle bell, and the wind mills…

ok…I didn’t actually love the wind mills, and I didn’t do those with 20kg…I would have killed myself I did do them though, which is an improvement for me!!

Ok technically I only did them with my left arm as my right shoulder is still weak in rotation…but still an improvement for me!!

after kettlebells was the trx… I have missed the trx as well…

the majority of the things I did on the trx today involved having my feets in the handles.

does that make them feetles?

anyway…

I did one legged burpees with a pressup…one foot in the feetle, one on the floor, hold in plank, do a press up, jump one foot in then stand up…then reverse the procedure.

all without falling over…

then bridges with me heels in the feetles, then plank saws with my feet suspended, then spiderman press ups with one foot in the feetle!

a spiderman pressup in this context involves stepping your non-suspended foot up to the same level as you hands, do a press up then move your foot back…

there was a lot of core involvement!!

after all this there was boxing…well kickboxing…in which I got to do roundhouse knees πŸ™‚ they are awesome…and you can do them pretty hard!

which is all very well until your lovely trainer gets his own back by making you do cable machine plank rows…

which made me proud, especially when i remembered that I couldn’t even hold a plank for 20s when I started this game!!

all in all…it was an awesome PT session, with no panda impressions at all!

all that was before 8:30 πŸ˜€

at lunchtime of course there was walking…

and this evening…

Insanity Max 30 Tabata Power!

this is the third time I have done this workout…and it does not get any easier!

there are about 1 milion tricep dips which are just ridiculous!!

not to mention the travelling plyometric press ups… :-S

somehow…I increased my max out time again, 9mins 40secs this time πŸ˜€
