Monday is now officially leg day π
I went heavier today than I did last week. I was a bit more confident in my squats this week, although they are not where they used to be they are getting there! I did 1×5 @ 45kg, 1×5 @50kg, 1×5 @ 52.5kg and 2×5 @ 55kg which made me happy π the max I used to do was 60kg so I am nearly there! π
I am hoping for a less prolonged bout if DOMS this week…I am hoping I have started to adapt π
Lunchtime was dedicated to walking today and generally looking around, I wasn’t rushing I was just enjoying the sunshine and being out of the office π
This evening, due to a low attendance (1 person) and a game that really needed at least two people… I ended up not only teaching but taking part In my circuits class π
Admittedly, we only did half a class in the end as Graham was not very well and had dragged himself out to ho me out!!
It was a fun class…although I didn’t like myself much when I made myself do up and down planks and super slow squat!!
So all in all that is juneathon day 8 well and truly done!!
Graham is a treasure for supporting you the way he has!

He really is!! I decided that a chesty wasn’t ideal for a circuits class and sent him home after half an hour!

secondly…any visit is better than no visit π
thirdly, you are welcome to copy my work out, but I wouldn’t recommend a split program until you are used to lifting π
You should definitely include some of the elements though (squats and deadlifts and bench presses etc π )

I doubt I will become a lifter, but will definitely add some elements as I progress. Certainly not yet lol, I’m just getting started!

it is so much fun! but probably not for everyone π
you should try and get them to start you on freeweights rather than machines, they work more muscles at once and are generally better for you (except in specific circumstances π ) they don’t have to be scary heavy either π
