And the things that have happened have mostly involved walking.
To be completely fair, a lot of that walking was done by people who weren’t me. I did a fair bit too by normal standards, just not by the standards of the company I was keeping on Saturday!
Ok Sam…start at the start
this weekend just gone was the Grand Union Challenge that I signed up for at the end of last year. Now, for many reasons including being rubbish at fundraising (at least rubbish so soon after asking people to sponsor me for a half marathon) and being beset by blisters, I ended up not walking in this challenge.
However, I went along as support crew / cheerleader and drove to every checkpoint to give moral support and walked a few km of the route at each one 🙂
This meant that I walked about 22km and (for some reason at about 10pm I ran 4km…
Lisa was absolutely awesome and walked the whole thing in 21.5 hours including breaks!!
Fabulous! Great photos, too.

I wondered about why you were support and not participant. Good to hear that it was intentional and planned. Good on you for making a decision that was right for you.
Awesome and amazing job Lisa did! Wow!

Wonderful photos! Are those teenage geese or just awkward/going through puberty birds?
