Back on track…

And by track…I mean gym…no track for me sounds far too much like running!

Not that running is a bad thing…I may have even actually done some…but I’ll tell you about that later…

Not yet, however. Yet I want to tell you about all the lovely lifting I have been doing recently and my amazing new shoes… and leggings…

first the shoes…

After my foot explosion (no that is not over dramatic…that is what happened…honest) I have been left slightly (very) wary of barefoot shoes, which were my staple gym/lifting shoes. Honestly I have been toying with some specific lifting shoes for a while, and this provided me with the best excuse reason to by some! So I invested in a pair of Adidas power lift shoes 😀 and i love love them!!

the have superflat soles on the outside, but have support and suchlike on the inside, they also have sole like little wedges so they raise your heels up a bit…

this is handy, for ankle flexibility-ly challenged people like me as it helps you get more depth on squats…

They are also super stable because if the flatness and this makes them awesome for deadlifts…and not falling over…both of which i like 😀

So…armed with my awesome new shoes…and lots of pairs of awesome new leggings (I’ll show you later) I have been managig to go to the gym 4 times a week…that is in the gym lifting up heavy stuff 4 times a week… how awesome is that 😀

and of course I have been dancing…and walking and even doing a little bit of running…

Yes…that’s right running… a little…I have started right back at the beginning of the 10k trainer which is the same as the c25k, so I have literally gone right back to basics but I don’t want to put myself off…or hurt my foot again!!

I have to say…I am loving it all too!!

  1. Gorgeous, gorgeous and super gorgeous! Also the shoes and leggings look great too – heehee! You are lifting like some kind of goddess, I bet you could probably lift me right over your head now. Super proud of you hun – keep up the awesome work! 😀

      2. Hm, good point – although I would love to do it, of course. We could always fall back on Bez, he seemed like a good bet. In fact, just suggesting that he be our publicist got us onto that world news section of the newspaper hehe! I vote Edd and Ian do it. They are very noticeable. Ian can double up as our driver, too.

  2. Love, love, love your workout gear! I may need to buy those watermelon leggings and 2 of the tops (bet you can guess which two… both are filled with snark, like me.)!

    Well done on not only getting back on track, but staying there. As for me, with the exception of being super active on vacation, I have been a lump. Literally. Just a soft lump, sitting on my ass all day working at my laptop. 😦

    1. You must get the leggings!! They are amazing and would look awesome on you 😀 i can completely guess which tops 😊 you really have to get them!!
      The company is amazing too!! You should join the GRRRLs group on FB too they are amazing people that can do awesome things for body confidence!
      Too much work is no good, it is sooo easy to get trapped behind a laptop!! 😦
