Can you believe it has been 4 Years!!

So, it is a year later…

I am pretty sure I haven’t done the things I said I would do…

Of course I will be writing a brand new post about the brand new year shortly, but for now here’s last year’s…

Project Warrior Goddess

4 years since I started all of this off!

On 23rd June 2013 I wrote this post: Day 1 of Project Fit Enough to Dance in a Mask the summary of which was, I want to get fitter so I can dance better so I will do some exercise every day.

hipstamaticphoto-517414723.282588 Mildly irrelevant picture of me earlier this month.

I had no idea when I started this, where blogging and fitness obsession would take me. I had no idea I’d train to be a personal trainer who currently has actual real life clients! I had no idea I’d “run” a half marathon or go to a class called Sh’bam. I had no idea I’d fall in love with lifting really heavy stuff and develop a kettlebell obsession! I had no idea that in one month I’d do 4817 squats as part of a squat challenge. I had no idea that…

  1. I’m so pleased you started this blog. Not just because it has given you the impetus to turn your own life around (and my – you’ve really done that!) but for my own selfish reasons of finding such a wonderful, brilliant, supportive, inspiring and lovely friend 😀 😀 😀 I know you have had little slips and slides here and there, but the thing is you completely own them, fix them and get straight back in the saddle, no matter what. That is why you are a true Warrior goddess! Not infallible, but always undefeated. We are all lucky to have you in our lives (me especially 🙂 ) xx

    1. Thank You 😀 😀

This is the best comment ever, it is exactly what I needed to hear! I keep dwelling on the slips and not the positives!!

I couldn’t begin to imagine when I started this blog that it would bring so many unexpected benefits, like making actual wonderful friends and inspiring me to write poems and have a photography exhibition!

I wasn’t even sure anyone would read it or that I would keep it going for a year let alone 5!!!

      1. Blogging is amazing, isn’t it? You mustn’t focus on the slips… even though I do all the time (mine, not yours!) and it is so hard to push the negatives aside, even when there are so many positives. Your positives are MASSIVE and the perceived failings are teeny tiny in comparison. Always remember that!
There are so many more adventures, escapades and shenanigans to come. There will probably be more slips and slides too – that’s life – but I will have your back for every single one and you know you will overcome it all once more. Keep going!!

      2. I can’t wait for the new adventures and shenanigans!!
Knowing you have my back helps beyond belief! ❤
this year's birthday post is going to be extremely positive!
It seems to be human nature to dwell on the failings, but it is far healthier to look at the positives! (now to figure out how 🙂 )

      3. I can’t wait for the birthday post!! 🙂
If you can figure out how to ignore negatives and look at positives only, you will probably be the first. Being human can be a bit annoying at times!

      4. I think acknowledging the negative is probably useful, as a learning experience…
But the human tendency to only see them and dwell on them ad infinitum is definitely annoying!!
