Project Warrior Goddess – a minor setback…

Actually it is quite a major setback…

Everything was going swimmingly I was all set to tell you about the fantastic running I was doing last week and the insanity and the lovely weekend I spent dancing at Tewkesbury.

Actually it was a lovely weekend dancing at Tewkesbury, more fun than I normally have at Tewkesbury tbh…right up unit the last dance stand.

On the first dance of the last stand I was dancing on moment and the next moment I was inexplicably face down on the floor… I don’t remember falling I just remember being in the floor, hearing a crack and not being able to move well…

After some confusion, some paramedics, lots of well meaning members of the public trying to give me water for some reason I ended up in an ambulance on a tour of Gloucestershire… final destination Cheltenham A&E

It transpires I have a broken ankle 😦

That up there is my lovely friend Debbie who looked after me in A&E and my brand new cast…

The day after I went to another A&E and my cast was changed for a boot thingy and now I have to wait until Monday for an appointment at the fracture clinic where I hope I get a bit more information about how long this will all take 😊

Never fear the Warrior Goddess is not giving up just will have to be resting and healing for a little while…

  2. Eeep! Such an unfortunate event! And what were those members of the public thinking, trying to give you water? Did no one have any gin?! Oh dear me – get well soon, little ankle! There is Warrior Goddessing to be done! Actually, you will be a super sitting-down Warrior Goddess. Use this time to practice roaring and thinking about how to appease Quest Cat… 😀

    1. I was quite confused by the amount of people who were trying to give me water… I think they thought I was dehydrated…
      Gin would have been much better 😂
      I shall invent fabulous sitting down Warrior Goddess activities and quest cat appeasements…
      This is probably some sort of test at the start of the quest!

      1. *gasp* You could be right! Quest Cat might suddenly appear and say something epic like ‘And now Warrior Goddess, finally you are ready…’ and the booty thing could turn out to have some sort of secret power.
        I’m getting far too carried away with this… 😀 😀

  4. Oh dear I’m really sorry to hear of this unfortunate event but I suppose injury is one of the risks of the trade when you are a Warrior Goddess!!

      3. I’ve got one you can have if you like….so you will be properly armed when Quest Cat reveals all….

        I suspect Warrior Goddesses aren’t given easy quests by Quest Cat like finding milk and the like, I bet it’s more like “there’s a shiny orb thing over there that you need to get….oh yes and there’s a big Dragon in the way”!!!

  5. But there will be treasure at the end you can be sure of that and if there’s one thing I like it’s treasure….if you need a sidekick for this quest I’ll happily volunteer!! I can supply my own tin helmet as you can see from my profile picture 😊

  6. Ah yes… I was given 2 bottles of water last night after my fall. It gave the lovely St John’s Ambulance men something to do. 🙂

    I am annoyed by this minor setback of yours. But hopefully it will be just that, and you will be out questing and buying axes befitting your status as Warrior Goddess, very soon.

    1. I think people feel they need to try and help and bottles of water are all they have… I suspect they thought I had collapsed because of the heat…

      I intend to attempt to quest and adventure as soon as possible… I am already sick of sitting!!
