Broken Warrior Goddess Update…
Hello lovely people 🙂
Well…I am still broken, but things are looking up 😀
I had an appointment at the fracture clinic yesterday and they poked and prodded my ankle and declared it safe to bear weight on 😀 I am still in a booty thing to protect and support it, and but I can walk on it. This helps enormously as it means I can use only one crutch and that only for balance and emergency situations 😀 it is amazing to be able to carry things again!!
I have even been able to get back to work today…which much as in general work gets in the way of real life, it also pays for real life and honestly I’d much rather be there than sitting broken at home unable to do anything much! That and I like my job really…I get to write things 😀
Anyway… the fracture clinic said booty thingy for another 2 weeks then a splinty bracey thingy then normal life can resume.
Well normal life with a little caution I presume…possibly not running and dancing and insanity straight away…
I know, it is a shock isn’t it…but I suppose I’ll just have to be a little bit careful for a while…
The other exciting thing I have discovered is a plethora of seated yoga videos from the lovely Adriene at Yoga with Adriene. I tried quite a few of them out last week.
Well, its not like I could possibly do nothing is it??
I really enjoyed them, it was not as challenging as the other yoga stuff I have been doing but it was definitely worth doing and definitely working and stretching my upper body. They made me feel a lot better after all of the sitting and getting ridiculously uncomfortable I had been doing!!
never fear, project Warrior Goddess is still going on, even if it is at a slightly slower place for a while 😀
