I just love the outdoors. Feeling the sun on my face and the wind in my hair is one of the best feelings ever. It’s also one of the very few times I even think about my body and the space I take up in it. Living in a such a fatphobic and racist world and culture there is never a time I am not aware of my blackness and also my fatness. And the world has no problem reminding me of it repeatedly. So how does someone take up space unapologetically when the world is telling them their black body & their fat body is not worthy of the space?
