In a break with tradition, I made it to the gym on a Saturday 😁. I am going to have to get used to going at unfamiliar times (weekends and evenings and suchlike) in the run up to this comp so I thought I’d start now!
It is peculiar, it is full of people I don’t know. I am so used to mornings when the same people go all the time! Still it was all ok and I got some heavy lifting and stuff done! Deadlifts in fact 80, 85 and 90kg, t-bar rows and seated sled pulls!
Seated sled pulls are hard!
All of this lifting and pulling and whatnot (today and yesterday) has left me achy!! I’d almost forgotten how DOMS feels!!
I like the ache really but it made my life quite tricky later on when I had to do today’s yoga! It was slow and difficult and not really my finest yoga session! However, I did it and I am pleased 😁 it did make me feel a little better too!
Yes of course there was a cat involved!! This time it was the tiniest cat who thought sitting on me was helpful! I have heard people pay money to do yoga in room fulls of kittens… in my experience, this would be distracting and inconvenient, but extremely sweet!
Yes, I am in my pyjamas, they have cats on too… it’s ok though, that’s the advantage to doing yoga in your own house 😀😀
