Project lockdown fitness: Day 50 – rest day…

I was told, in no uncertain terms, by Mr Shaun T that I had to have a rest day…

Well, not just me, everyone doing this 60 day challenge, it was on the calendar and everything. Then he posted this…

60 days rest day

I got the feeling he was serious about his rest day business…

But if you’ve been here any time at all you will know that rest days are not what I am good at… I once back in the beginning days of this blog went for 415 days without a rest day… so you know full well I am not just going to go around doing nothing for a whole day!

Besides, rest days are not really in the rules of project lockdown fitness…

So I compromised and worked out, but less than normal…

I did a rockin’ body dance workout during my lunchbreak, because dancing makes me smile! Its quite different dance to the stuff of Project Fit Enough to Dance in a Mask, but it is still a lot of fun, more possibly because it doesn’t come with a side order of anxiety…

I did the 25 min Dance Party Express, workout, it is fun and funny, Shaun T is so young and funny!

During the afternoon I also managed to do a 10 minute yoga session and went for a little walk, it was only short but good to stretch my legs!

Ans last, but by no means least, I could not resist playing with my new strongwoman related toys which arrived during the day…

I am now the proud owner of some farmers walk handles and they are brilliant!! Much bigger than I thought, being almost as tall as I am and they have huge handles that my hands barely go all the way around! However, I suspect this is standard and I had better get used to it before the competition!

I tried them out…of course I tried them out! I carried them up and down a little bit, and I felt I had to try them with the weight I will need in the competition…

That picture up there, that is me carrying 40kg per hand, exactly what I need to be able to carry to compete! Woohoo! now I just need to get better at it! 😀

I suppose by some standards that didn’t sound like a rest day, but it really felt like one to me! 😀

    1. oooh yay!! I am always hugely surprised when someone says I inspired them to do something. I generally assume people read this and thing I am a crazy person for doing these things 😀
