Back to the grindstone…

ok this works the glutes, and the quads…

Ok, I don’t really think my training is a grindstone. I nearly always enjoy it, otherwise why do it!! But my point is, now I am back from holiday, I am back to the training full steam ahead. I have 2 competitions at the end of November after all O_O the wisdom of this remains to be seen…but even if there was only 1, I would still have to be back on the training with something of a vengeance!

Without taking a helicopter down with a car, obviously…

That is weird enough to be a strongman event tbh, but it isn’t in either of my competitions so I am not going to practice throwing cars about…

Not just yet anyway!

I am back in the gym though, both shed gym and gym gym πŸ™‚

It is brilliant to be back, although the rest definitely did me good!

This week so far, I have done two upper body sessions, one leg session and one tyre / deadlift fun-time session with Matt πŸ˜€ I was expecting that I might have lost a little bit of strength after a week off, but apparently it doesn’t work like that. I am now working at the same levels I was doing before my holiday, with more enthusiasm and more leg DOMs. Ok that last one isn’t necessarily a good thing, but it is nice to get DOMs sometimes just to prove you have pushed yourself!

I threw in a bit of yoga too for balance πŸ™‚ I have missed yoga since I went back to working from work rather than working from home!

I think that has been a pretty productive first week back from holiday… and, I just noticed, I have worn the same leggings all week, there was some pretty advanced colour coordination too πŸ™‚ I don’t expect that to last!
