Happy new year and all that! Of course, as is now tradition, I will be taking part in Janathon this year, for the uninitiated amongst you, Janathon is an event (in the loosest sense of the word event) whereby I have to partake of exercise every day, and blog about it, also every day!
So this is what I will be doing.
Today as you probably know is the first of January, this the customary first day of Janathon. I did, of course do some exercise, but I thought that before I tell you about that I would take you on a tour of the Shed-gym.
I was even brave enough to video it with a commentary which I don’t think sounds like me at all. I have been informed that I do actually sound like that, I am not convinced but that is not the point, that is the shed gym with all the amazing equipment we have managed to get our hands on!

So that is the shed gym, in all it’s glory! I have to say I love it and I am so happy to have it here at home now the gyms are closed again!
Now for today’s exercise:
What more fitting exercise is there for the first day of the year than a deadlift or two. Well, several deadlifts actually and some rack pulls that I am particularly pleased with. This is the first time I have managed 130kg rack pulls for 3×3 😀 not a bad start to the year!
Last, but by no means least, no janathon post would be complete without a picture or two from a walk! It was a walk in the dark mind you because it gets dark so early!
So that was day one of 2021!
