Project Energise: Day 7 running again…

Running is not my thing, or so I claim repeatedly, but throughout this whole blog I run. I am not always consistent, I am a sporadic runner at best, but as I said at some point last year, like it or not, I am a runner

In case this is not obvious… I went out for a run yesterday! It was sunny and I have been neglecting cardio more than I should be, so I put my running shoes on and off I went.

Honestly, it wasn’t great. I felt better for doing it, and it felt good to be out, but It was really really obvious I have been neglecting fitness recently! It is interesting how quickly you can lose any condition that you had.
Still, onwards and upwards as they say. If I am going to get fitter again I need to do things like this so it is all good!

I am glad I started, I definitely felt better after I had been…and not just because I had stopped 😀

The only thing left to do after running, was yoga, and of course the most appropriate yoga was post run yoga. It was brilliant for stretching out the muscles I had just used.

I was 4 hours post run when I did it, which I don’t think was the point, but it was still post run, and it was still good yoga 😀

Mia didn’t look impressed with the whole thing, but I was 😀

It felt hard, but not impossible and I don’t seem to have lost as much strength as I thought. I need to increase my endurance and cardio fitness again, but I knew that (hence the running). […]
